Noboru Kitahara was born in 1917 in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. He 
		attended Matsumoto Shogyo high school and Rikkyo University before 
		playing for Dairen Jitsugyodan in the Industrial League.
		
		Kitahara signed with Nankai in 1941, and the 24-year-old second baseman 
		batted an impressive .333 in 14 games with a home run and seven RBIs. In 
		1942, he played 65 games and batted .249 with 14 stolen bases and 24 
		RBIs.
		
		Kitahara was drafted into military service in 1943. While still in 
		service he died of tuberculosis in 1945.
